This page explains what Albany Contracting Group collects when you contact us, what we use it for and how to reach us about it.

The law that applies

Albany is a private business in Ontario. Canada's federal private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), applies to how we handle personal information. This page describes our practice. It is not legal advice.

What our forms collect

Our project form asks for:

what you're planning (the type of project);
your first name;
your phone number;
your email address, if you choose to give it;
the city the project is in, if you choose to give it;
details about the project, if you choose to add them;
where you are with the project and how you prefer we reach you, if you choose to answer.

A separate box, "Send me occasional renovation tips and offers", stays unticked unless you tick it.

Our existing-customer form asks for your first and last name, phone number, what your message is about, how soon it is needed, and, if you choose, a job address or reference, details and an email address.

Calls, texts and photos

You can call or text us at (289) 860-0200. When you do, we see your phone number and keep the messages and any photos you send. Photos of your project reach us by text, not through the forms.

What else the site records

When you send a form, it also includes the page you sent it from and how you found the site, for example the page you first landed on and the link or ad that brought you there. The site keeps this in your browser until you send a form. It may also keep what you typed on the page, so a form isn't lost if your connection drops.

Our forms use an automatic check to stop spam.

Cookies and analytics

When you visit, the site loads Google Analytics 4, from Google LLC, through Google Tag Manager. It records the pages you view, how far down a page you scroll, the buttons and links you click (such as call, text, email and the forms), how you found the site, and your type of device and browser. It doesn't collect your name, phone number, email address or what you type in the forms.

It sets cookies whose names start with _ga. They hold a random identifier, so repeat visits count together. Google Analytics doesn't store your IP address. Google may process this data outside Canada, for example in the United States. Analytics data is kept for 14 months, and the _ga cookies expire after 13 months. No advertising tags run on the site.

To block it, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a tracker blocker, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

What we use it for

We use your details to:

respond to your request;
give you an estimate;
do the work and invoice it;
keep a record of the job.

If you ticked the tips and offers box, we may also send you renovation tips and offers.

Where your details go

Form requests go into our customer system, where our team reads and answers them. Details you send through this website are stored and processed by KremCRM, the customer relationship system we use, on Microsoft Azure servers in Israel, outside Canada.

Calls and texts go to our phone. The companies that run our website, our customer system and our phone service handle the information for us so these work.

Stopping texts and emails

To stop texts, emails or anything else from us, tell us by text, email or phone.
