Siding, soffit, fascia and eavestroughs in Hamilton
Ten minutes in the rain shows you more than a walk-around on a dry day. Albany Contracting Group installs and replaces siding, soffit, fascia and eavestroughs on Hamilton homes, from the roofline down.
Which one sounds like yours?
Water is pouring over the eavestrough
A trough that overflows is blocked, sagging or pitched the wrong way. That water lands where you don't want it: on the steps, against the brick, beside the basement wall.
What to check: in the rain, watch the corners and the downspouts. Is water coming out the bottom, or over the top?
The eavestrough is pulling away from the house
Usually the board behind it, the fascia, has gone soft. Screws don't hold in wet wood. Rehanging the trough on the same board only lasts so long.
What to check: press the fascia gently with a screwdriver where the trough sags. Soft wood means the board needs replacing too.
The soffit is stained, sagging or has holes
Soffit is the underside of the overhang. Stains often mean water getting in from above. Holes let in birds and squirrels.
The siding is faded, cracked or rattling in the wind
Old siding loses its colour, cracks in the cold and comes loose at the seams. Sometimes it's a few panels. Sometimes the whole house is ready for a new look.
What to check: look for panels that move when you push them, and for stains running down from the roofline.
Eavestroughs, put back to work
We install new eavestroughs and downspouts, or replace the old ones, and send the water away from the house. If the fascia behind is rotten, we replace that board first, so the new trough has something solid to hang on.
Soffit and fascia
New soffit and fascia along the roofline, replaced where the old boards have rotted, sagged or opened up. It's the trim that frames the whole house, so it changes how the front looks.
New siding, front to back
New siding for one wall or the whole house. We talk through the style and colour at the consultation. Pairing it with stone? Our masonry work covers stone veneer and facades.
If water is already getting into your basement, start with basement waterproofing. Basement flooded in this year's storms? See 2026 storm recovery.

Since 1999. Family-owned. Insured. Warranty on most items.
We had Albany redo our gutters and down spouts. Always andwered the phone when we called or called back right away, which was refreshing. They did a very nice job, they helped choose a new colour which turned out perfect. House looks very nice and we have no more leaking like we used to which is why we had them do the work.
Questions we get
How much does new siding cost in Hamilton?
Every siding job is priced at the free in-home consultation, because the size of the house and the siding you pick change the price more than anything else. We measure first, then you get your price. No obligation.
How much does eavestrough replacement cost?
Eavestrough replacement is priced at the free in-home consultation too, because the length of the run and the state of the fascia behind it set the price. Send a photo of the worst spot and we'll start there.
Why does my eavestrough overflow?
It's usually blocked, sagging or sloped the wrong way. If it overflows even when it's clean, the slope or the size is the problem, and we'll check both.
Can you replace the fascia without new eavestroughs?
Yes, we can replace soft or rotten fascia boards. If the trough on it is in good shape, we tell you, and you decide whether it goes back up.
Can you do siding and stone on the same house?
Yes. Siding with stone veneer is one of the looks in our photos above. See our masonry page for the stone side of it.
